A little ring of yellow with a sparkling green
Sat snuggled up on my pinky, just barely seen.
So silent in its presence, I never gave it a thought.
Till the unfateful day it wasn’t where it ought.
I searched high and low and everywhere in between.
I looked in nooks and corners like a randy despot teen.
Speaking to the stars and the celestial being didn’t work.
My little yellow ring remained lost in the dark.
Sometimes I dream of waking up to find
That the li’l silly thing had been messing up my mind!
It had always been there hiding in plain sight
Just waiting for me to finally see its sparkly green light.
