“If only I knew I was marrying an overgrown kid…!” she grumbled the nth time that day. He didn’t say a word as he went through the stack of bills, insurance premiums, rents….all that he was responsible for.

Taht’s an interesting one – it’s said that some people, when they look into the eyes of another, only see a reflection of their own eyes…

I don’t know how to reply to that. The people I know seem to can’t stop cribbing about all the things that have made their life miserable…post-marriage. Too many unfulfilled expectations/dreams/desires. Both the spouse feels that they are the martyrs. Thankfully, in my case, we both try to fill up the empty spaces and fit like puzzle pieces. Of course just like the puzzle pieces, we have our unique shapes and kinks to work out. But what matters is that in the end we are happy and complete together.

Marriage will only work if both parties have a real desire to make it work – you and your husband appear to have that.

You can’t clap with a single hand right? That’s a very popular saying here. We both really are very grateful to have found each other that we try doubly hard to ensure it remains perfect.

Where do you live? I’m having trouble figuring out your culture and traditions, ’cause your language and the way you think seems very Westernised.

I am a misfit. Born in the wrong era, wrong culture, wrong body..everything wrong except the way i think…i think that is the only thing RIGHT! i am from India..

I thought you must be from India, but I wanted to know for sure. I’m glad there are pockets of sexual enlightenment over there, however small.
I think India is beautiful.

India is full of sensational delights. but sadly, we are running so hard to catch up to the Western counterparts that the true beauty is gradually lost and the only thing that remains is a shell of what it once was. However, where there is life, there is hope.

That’s happening, or has already happened, all over the world. It makes me sad when I see photos of rainforest tribespeople clad in printed t-shirts.

and they call it progress. while the “developed” people revert to vegetarian/vegan lifestyles and chant Om.

We in the west have done irrepairable damage.
Om… om…
See that? I just made it all better!

I can feel the change in vibrations already. Do some more!

I wish I ‘d realised sooner that all I have to do to achieve world peace, and stop all suffering, was to chant om!
I wonder how I can bend this new power to my own ends…

My reaction to marriage initially –
I thought marriage meant you were responsible for giving me love, laughter and a beautiful life. I didn’t know you had the same expectations from me!!!

It’s good that you both took the trouble to figure it out 🙂

“Love is the lubricant that can make everything okay. It is the balm that soothes all the pain. But the current world scenario does not encourage true love. There are a lot of calculations and manipulations involved. You are scared of letting someone into your heart because you have heard one too many heart-break stories. So you keep looking for love, but it’s like the musk deer chasing its own tail to find the source of the smell. You keep moving in circles and end up confused and dizzy.”
