The Man that he was

He says he has changed

Beyond the point of no return

And the face that looks back at him

Reminds him of a long lost friend.

He tries to rewind to a time

When he could remember who he was.

He nitpicks some habits

Pats himself for some…

And realizes that what’s done

Is long since done.

The one he lost can no longer be found,

But on this useless quest

He might lose the one he found.
