I saw you standing in the center of the road, unsure where it was that you were headed or whether it was even worth it.
I saw the bundle of dead dreams and lost hope that you carried on your drooping shoulders, pushing you lower down with every step you took.
It must have been madness that made me put up that sign on my window pane; or it was a wish to see what you looked like when you knew how to smile.
